JOY STOKES

Joy Stokes has made her home in Porthleven and has lived there since 1953. She studied and trained at the School of Art Colchester, traveled extensively in the Middle East and has held four major exhibitions in the Gulf. Joy has designed Gulf Air Uniforms, a set of Postage Stamps depicting Crafts of the State of Bahrain etc.

Joy’s paintings are in collections in New York, Washington, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Australia, The Middle East and South Africa as well as the United Kingdom. She continues to paint in Cornwall, the Mediteranean and the iddle East.
